ABOUT ATHLETICS FUNDING

Our STEM Spartan Athletes need your help to enhance their high school athletics experience.  Athletics registrations cover approximately 65% of the cost of fielding our teams; fields, supplies, uniforms, practices,  and games/officials; while STEM covers the other 35% of required costs.  This does not include team dinners, senior banners, banquets, camps, weight training/open gyms, off season leagues/camps, warm ups/team shirts, or other “non-essential” items/events.  However, it is these “non-essential” items that can have an enormous impact on the student experience; building a sense of team and belonging, pride in representing STEM, increased skills and competitiveness, and adding to the fun and enjoyment of being a part of Spartan Athletics.   Schools in DCSD and across the country address this funding shortfall with the help of active participation of Booster Clubs.
