The Spartan Cross Country teams ran at the Longs Peak Invite in Estes Park on Friday Oct 3, which served also as the Foothills League Meet. The Spartans did not let the elevation hold them back, with the Boys team taking 3rd place in the league and 3 STEM runners were honored as All League. Cooper Allen again led the way, taking to the podium with a 3rd place finish in Foothills League, while runners Tyler Marquez and Sarah Hathaway were also honored as All League performers for being in the top 20 runners in the Foothills League. Spartan XC has one more meet, the Fort Lupton Invite on Oct 9, as a tune up before taking on the toughest 3A region in CO (Region 5) in Colorado Springs(Oct 24) to qualify for the State Meet on Nov 1.
